Ergolab is a living lab that improves information systems through co-creation and co-design with users. In other words, at Ergolab we put the users of information systems at the very heart of their design and development process.

WHAT IS A LIVING LAB?

A living lab is an open and collaborative space with a new innovation strategy approach.
This approach increases the likelihood of products and services meeting the needs of the client/user by involving the end users in the process of developing those products/services.
There are many Living Labs, designed for different areas or groups, but they are all members of the European Network of Living Labs or ENoLL. At Ergolab, we use the potential offered by end users to improve the experience of using Information Systems and their features, something that we believe is now vital given the (increasing) importance of ICT’s in our society.

METHODOLOGY

The Ergolab methodology considers what phases and techniques to implement in innovation and/or redesign projects for information systems to guarantee the best possible user experience of the systems and proper interaction with the interfaces. This methodology is multidisciplinary: It includes techniques in areas such as Usability, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Sociology and Anthropology.

The methodology is based on the following key concepts:

PHASES

The Ergolab methodology is flexible, so all or only some of its 6 phases can be implemented. Always depending on the client’s requirements.
