An exploratory framework to measure social innovation

In the framework of the SIMPACT project, which jas recently finalised, Sinnergiak Social Innovation conducted a research on one of the blank spot in the field of innovation studies: the development of social innovation indicators. As a result of this work a Working-Paper was composed, in which Sinnergiak presents to us a particular reflection on the topic.

Sinnergiak  stresses that there are diverse perspectives that suggest the application of indicators at different measurement levels:

  1. the individualistic approach,
  2. the regional/national approach, and
  3. the organizational approach.

The present working paper promotes the notion of Social Innovation Regime (SIR) with the purpose of developing an integrated perspective of the mentioned levels through a series of social innovation indicators …
